After March 2017, the Village Writers' Club opted to operate more informally than it had in the past. One aspect of that decision was the abandonment of taking minutes of meetings. "We're not a corporation, we're a club," was one comment in support of the informality of operations.
Village Writers' Club Governing Principles
Village Writers' Club Bylaws (Replaced; no longer valid after 8/31/2017)
NOTE: During the summer of 2017, members of the Village Writers' Club voted to suspend the club's bylaws for a one year period, opting to experiment with an alternative set of governing principles. After the one-year trial, the decision was taken to permanently abandon the bylaws and the more formal structure, replacing the bylaws with a set of governing principles and enabling the Club to operate in a more casual manner.
